Extension program conducts trainings

The Extension Education Program of Foundation University, under the directorship of Dr. Pura T. Depositario, conducted a Community-Based Participatory Planning Training Program for the past two months to equip the core group and project implementors with the tools to sustain their projects and interventions in their adopted barangays in the Province.

Dr. Depositario said the training included topics on Participatory Rapid Communicty Appraisal (PARCA), Causal Modeling, HIPPOPOC Table, and the Community Action Plan.

“We will be conducting trainings this month for barangay officials who can prepare their respective barangay profiles, pinpoint causes of common problems, formulate interventions, and develop integrated plans for the community,” she said.

Depositario further stressed that the trainings will be conducted in the vernacular for a higher understanding level.

The initial training program will be implemented in barangay Liptong in Valencia using hands-on experiential learning.

The core group trainings are conducted by Dr. Depositario; Natividad Cabanlit, Extension Education coordinator, and Jocel Abanto.
