The slogan Environment is Everybody’s Everyday Concern (EEEC) was conceptualized by Foundation University President Dr. Mira Sinco to create environmental awareness starting from within the FU community.
"This project chaired by Dr. Aparicio Mequi, calls for our everyday awareness and mindfulness of keeping every nok and corner of the campus and of the nearby community clean, fresh, healthy, and life-sustaining. " Dr. Sinco said as she urged everybody to support this project.
The environmental drive has two components: the in-house project which is the EEEC, and the community outreach project. the cleaning of the Banica River at the back of the Foundation campus, which was initiated and led by the FU President , is part of the outreach program.
EEEC’s objective is to create a program wherein proper disposal of wastes, by means of proper segregation, is implemented within the University, A group was created to ensure the program will succeed: headed by Agriculture Dean Mark Espedilla, with Engr. Marlon Tanilon, Charlotte Carno, Malyn Redula, Alphy Catubig and all Roots Society members as implementors and beneficiaries of the program.
The money to be generated from collected junk stuff like plastic bottles and cans will be used to help finance the tuition fees of Roots Society members. This project does not only help the student beneficiaries but it also creates awareness, and encourages cooperation among the campus community to be environmentally-conscious.
The creation of the EEEC is expected to create an impact not only in the campus but also in the entire community, as those involved will also practice the same in their own homes.
