ABOUT US
In 1951, Foundation University produced the first graduates of Associate in Commercial Science. The following year, graduates of both Associate in Commercial Science and Associate in Secretarial Science were produced. Both courses were non- degree programs.
It was only in 1954 that the university was able to produce graduates of the degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce. The department was then known as the School of Business and Economics to emphasize the offering of the Economics program.
In the early 90′s as the population of the school continues to increase, the department was named the College of Business and Economics. Later, the Accountancy program was offered as a separate course from the BSC. To emphasize the offering of the said program, the college in the late 90′s was known as the College of Business, Economics and Accountancy.
In the late 90′s, the Computer Center was put up and was placed under the care of the College of Business, Economics and Accountancy. Additional computer courses were since then offered. These include the BS in Information Management together with the BS in Computer Science and BSC in Business Computer Applications.
As early as May 2004, the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with majors in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism Management was given a go signal for its offering in the first semester of school year 2004-2005. At present the BSBA (formerly BSC) program is enjoying the privilege of being granted Level II accreditation-2nd re-accreditation by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation.
In 2008, due to a continued increase in population the college was divided into three, the School of Hospitality Management, School of Computer Studies and the college of Business Administration. The College of Business Administration has two departments, the Accountancy Department and Business Administration Department.
