Programs of Study
LIBERAL EDUCATION.
The University programs of studies are so planned, arranged, and worked out as to produce students of positive abilities to earn a living as well as acquire a good understanding of himself and his relationships with his fellowmen and with his environment. Emphasis is laid on the cultivation of the intellect and the faculty of reason. Specialization starts only with third year college.
DEGREE COURSES.
Foundation University offers academic and professional courses, which are enumerated in the University Brochure.
PREPARATORY COURSES.
The University offers preparatory courses in law, medicine, nursing and midwifery.
EMPHASIS ON SCIENCE AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY.
Foundation University has been progressively strengthening its courses in science and computer technology. Science has always been emphasized in the University. Foundation University is licensed to handle radio-isotopes. Foundation University also ventured into the field of computer technology putting up courses leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Business Computer Application, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Information Management. Its latest course offerings are Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Managememt.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING. One of the principal projects of the University is the vocational department. Present vocational offerings include the Two-Year CISCO Networking Associate course, electrical technology, industrial chemistry, refrigeration and air conditioning, computer secretarial, bookkeeping, salesmanship, entrepreneurship and agriculture.
These courses are intended for secondary and special students whose aim is to acquire fundamental skills in any of these trades that may enable them either to fill jobs or to perform definite tasks in their communities.
The vocational offerings in the post-secondary level are so arranged and planned that units earned may be credited in appropriate degree courses.
