The Institute of Youth Sports for Peace (IYSP), the Sporting Arm of Foundation University marked its 10th year anniversary in upholding sports for the young from the grassroots level and developing them into trained athletes.
Over the years, IYSP has successfully trained athletes from Negros Island Region and Siquijor Province through its annual Summer Sports Camp which normally concludes with tournaments in volleyball, basketball 3on3, and futsal at the Robinsons Main Atrium.
Last July 7, students from all levels participated in the “Dulang Pinoy for Peace” at the Greyhound Garden. This was followed by a thanksgiving dinner at the Kennel, (new cafeteria at Foundation Preparatory Academy) attended by University administrators, IYSP staff, members of the local media and some local government officials.
The 10th year celebration of IYSP was supported by the Philippine Sports commission through Chairman William Butch Ramirez.
IYSP’s upcoming events include the hosting of UNIGAMES 2018 and the launch of Greyhound Adventure Marathon.
